82#DIY Collar

Materials needed

- 100 % silk
- Photocopy of a diamond jewellery piece (black & white)
- Acetone
- Cotton wool
- Pearls
- Sewing thread in orange and white.

‘How to’ make a print:

Place ironed silk on a flat surface, and place a fresh black & white photocopy with the face down. Dip acetone on a piece of cotton wool, and carefully dip and press on the back of the photocopy. When dry remove the photocopy, and voila, the result is black and white print on silk.

Ps. – Please note that this kind of print does not tolerate washing.

‘How to’ make a collar:

After you have made a preferable print shaped as a collar, sew a back material on using white sewing thread and additionally fill it with cotton wool, so the collar gets 3 dimensional.
Finally cut the collar out, approximately 3 cm from the edge. (For more extreme effect use 3,4 layers of the back material, and cut the material 5,6 cm from the edge. In this way you will get a more fluffy effect of the edge)
Additionally sew pearls at the upper edge of the collier at both sides, and add orange sewing thread to get more sophisticated and raw look.
